Coastal Classic Creations®, A California Corporation, is committed to the development of cosmetics and personal care products made without any ingredient, which is known or which is suspected of causing harm to all forms of life.
The risk that cosmetics and personal care products may pose to the consumer and those who work with cosmetics is generally unknown due to the limited information available to the general public regarding exposure, the lack of updated federal legislation with regard to cosmetic standards, and the constraints imposed on further study.
Advances in science have uncovered the health risks of repeated exposures to low-dose hazardous chemicals, a variety of which are found in personal care products and cosmetics. Given these findings and in light of substantial scientific scholarship linking environmental toxins to disease, Coastal Classic Creations® has eliminated from its entire product line any ingredient with known, possible, or probable links to cell damage, cancer, birth defects, learning disabilities, mutagenicity, reproductive harm, neurotoxicity, and endocrine disruption. This omission includes, but is not limited to, parabens; phthalates; nano-particles; alkylphenols; synthetic musks; formaldehyde and urea-based preservatives; isoprene glycol; and propylene glycol. We have also omitted a number of "natural" ingredients that come into question, such as botanical and fruit extracts; rice, silk, and pearl powder; L-Ascorbic Acid; tocopherol acetate; castor oil; boron nitride; guar gum; titanium dioxide; zinc oxide; mica; and essential oils that warn of avoidance for individuals with a history of estrogen-dependent cancer.
